Meet Dr. Alexander!

THE REV. DR. VALERIE J. ALEXANDER, Principal Consultant and CEO, is a researcher and social scientist, as well as an ordained minister, teacher, preacher, writer, and speaker. She has a plethora of skills, talents, and interests, and is known for her critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as her “eagle-eye” in editorial and proofreading work.

For years, Dr. Alexander has worked in various positions trying to find her ideal job. She has worked as a social worker, an assistant pastor, an outreach worker, a legal secretary, and a plethora of other assorted positions in large corporations, government agencies, churches, educational institutions, and nonprofits. None were a proper fit.

Alexander Research Consultants, LLC (ARC) was started out of Dr. Alexander’s desire to live out her calling on her own terms. Social entrepreneurship and helping people have always been a strong draw for her passion and motivation.

Today, Dr. Alexander – through ARC – is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Her goal is to create safe spaces for dialogue among diverse groups – whether in the church, corporation, university, or in the community.

Dr. Alexander’s life-long Christian faith helps to shape her worldview in issues of humanity and social problem-solving.

Dr. Alexander holds a B.A. in psychology, a Master of Divinity degree, an M.A. in sociology, and a Ph.D. in political science.

She is ordained in the Christian Church in Georgia (Disciples of Christ).
